VISIT OF MR SALEEM MANDVIWALLA (VICE CHAIRMAN OF SENATE OF PAKISTAN) – DECEMBER 2018

Mr Saleem Mandviwalla (Vice Chairman of Senate of Pakistan) visited the office of the Pakistan Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum to meet the board of directors.

The board of directors explained the reason for the formation of the Forum. They gave details on the trade activities between the three countries.

Mr Saleem Mandviwalla stated that in this increasingly globalized world no successful nation can hope to remain detached from other economies and that the joining in partnership of nations in trade relations is a thing of great mutual benefit . He stated that the Pakistan Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum can play a strong role in furthering trade.

Mr Mandviwalla presented a memento to the board members.

PAKISTAN BELGIUM LUXEMBOURG BUSINESS FORUM LAUNCH - NOVEMBER, 2018

Pakistan Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum (PBLBF) hosted a Belgian menu dinner on 5th November, 2018 in honor of a high-level twenty companies Belgian trade at the residence of senior member Mr.Kalim Farooqui. The organization was also formally launched at that occasion.

The delegation was led by Mrs. Pascale Delcomminette, CEO of the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX). The Belgian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E.Mr. Frédéric Verheyden presided over the event.

PBLBF members as well as renowned individuals from business and government circles were in attendance. In addition, diplomats from Germany, Switzerland, U.K., U.S.A.,. attended.

Mr. Sameer Hamid Dodhy, Chief Executive, PBLBF, H.E.Mr. Frédéric Verheyden, Mr. Abid Husain, Trade Commissioner and Mrs. Pascale Delcomminette, CEO, AWEX addressed the gathering whilst Mr.Mohammed A.Rajpar, Advisor, PBLBF presented vote of thanks.

H.E.Mr. Frédéric Verheyden appreciated PBLBF’s initiatives in cementing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Sister Jeanine Geuns holder of a certificate from the Fund Christoffel Plantin in recognition of her extraordinary work at the Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC) in Manghopir was also in attendance.

BRUSSELS VISIT IN AUGUST 2018

Mr. Mohammed A. Rajpar, Advisor, PBLBF took the opportunity to sign MoU with Jan de Brabanter, CEO, BECI whilst Mr. Salman Ahmed Choudri, Commercial Secretary, Embassy of Pakistan & Ms. Anne Georges, CCI Brussels witnessed the signing.

MEMBERS’ GET TOGETHER IN AUGUST, 2018

PBLBF organized a Members’ get together on 11th August, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. over Hi-Tea at the residence of Mr. Syed Khurram Bukhari, Director, PBLBF. Members were happy at the initiative of organizing such get together which help to enhance understanding and fraternity amongst members.
